ZF Friedrichshafen: Electrified powertrain skid steer loader, bauma 2019
ZF Friedrichshafen is showcasing the electrified drivetrain of a skid steer loader at the bauma 2019 trade fair in Munich. The company is thus offering its customers future-oriented solutions for the construction site of tomorrow.
Skid steer loader drive train: 2 conventional axles + new three-shaft transmission
ZF Friedrichshafen shows here the electrified driveline of a compact loader consisting of two conventional axles and the new three-shaft transmission. In the driveline you can see an electric motor with a continuous output of 20 KW and a peak output of 36 KW.
This allows compact wheel loaders to cover up to a tonnage of 5 - 5.5 tons with the current specifications, i.e. achieve 80% tractive force of the machine weight and also the 20 km/h. The liquid cooling in the inverter is particularly innovative and ZF Friedrichshafen has managed to maintain the same compact installation space in the engine as in the conventional drive.
